This course guide provides resources for Life Coaching 201

Locating Books in the Jerry Falwell Library

The Library has a large collection of e-books available.

  1. To limit your search to e-books, begin on the library homepage: www.liberty.edu/library.
  2. Using the main search bar, change your content type from "All" to "Books".
  3. This will bring up the option to include Print books, E-books, and Audiobooks in your search. Select E-books.
  4. Enter your search terms and click the blue "Search" button.

Interlibrary Loan

If the book you are looking for is available in print, but not as an e-book, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. 

  1. Go to the library homepage here.
  2. To the top right select the Services drop-down menu and select Interlibrary Loan.
  3. On the following page you will see a link for Online Students, Faculty, and Staff. This page explains our policies, including delivery times.
  4. When you are ready, click on the blue box near the left of the page "Log in to Illiad". This will be the same log-in information for your Liberty account.
  5. Under New Request, on the left side of the page, click on Book.
  6. Type in the publication information of the book you would like to request. Try to be as specific as possible. When you are ready, click Submit Request.  You should receive an email when your item is ready to ship.

WorldCat

The WorldCat site will tell you where the closest copy of a title is to your location.

  1. Begin on http://worldcat.org
  2. Type in the name of the book you are looking for and click Search.
  3. Select the title from the list of available titles.
  4. Scroll down the page until you see Enter your location and type in your zip code.
  5. A list of libraries in your area that own that title will appear.
