Finding and Getting Books

Your two best places for finding books will be from our library catalog and from WorldCat.

If you can't can't find enough books on their topic, consider the following:

  • If you've found one book in our physical collection, the others in the area should be on the same or similar topic.
  • If you've found one book in our online collection, doing a search on the subject terms assigned to the book will help you find more books on that topic.
  • Review the bibliography, works cited, or notes section in your book.  If the author found these sources helpful in the writing of the book, they will likely help you as well.
  • If you are looking for a book we do not have in the JFL, use InterLibrary Loan (ILL) to request the book from another library.
  • Ask your professor for ideas for additional resources.
  • Ask a librarian for assistance.
