Finding Music Curriculum Materials

In the JFL, materials for teaching music K-12 are housed in the Curriculum Library. This library uses a combination of the Dewey Decimal system for teaching resource items and an in-house system for organizing textbook series.

Textbook series numbers:
  • The first line indicates the grade level - (in this case SEC=Secondary)
  • The second line is the subject area
  • The third line is the publishers initials followed by copyright date and grade level.

Teacher resource material numbers:

TRM stands for Teacher Resource Material, followed by the Dewey Decimal number and then the author's initials. Teacher Resource Materials are housed against the far wall in the Curriculum Library.
